PERFORM SPEECH, LANGUAGE AND HEARING TESTING, EVALUATIONS, HEARING AID SALES AND REPAIR, AND REHABILITATION THERAPY ACCESSIBLE AND AFFORDABLE TO ALL PERSONS WITH COMMUNICATION DISORDERS.

FROM JULY 2020 TO JUNE 2021 ASLHC TESTED AND TREATED OVER 1,000 PATIENTS AT THE CENTER. WE ALSO PROVIDED CHILDREN WITH FREE SPEECH AND HEARING SCREENINGS AT LOCAL PRESCHOOLS AND DAYCARES. WE ARE PLEASED TO SAY WE PROVIDED APPROXIMATELY 3,000 SPEECH THERAPY SESSIONS AND OVER 100 FULL SPEECH/LANGUAGE EVALUATIONS TO PERSONS WITH COMMUNICATIONS DISORDERS. ASLHC DISPENSED HEARING AIDS TO INDIVIDUALS IN OUR COMMUNITY LIVING WITH HEARING LOSS. MANY OF THOSE HEARING AIDS WERE PROVIDED THROUGH OUR HEARING AID BANK. THE FUNDS THAT MADE THE HEARING AID BANK POSSIBLE CAME FROM OUR ANNUAL FUNDRAISER AND UNITED WAY. THE AUDIOLOGISTS AND SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS OF ASLHC SPENT ADDITIONAL HOURS SPEAKING WITH INDIVIDUALS ON THE DETECTION, PREVENTION AND TREATING OF COMMUNICATION DISORDERS AND/OR HEARING LOSS BY ATTENDING AND PRESENTING INFORMATION AT LIONS CLUB MEETINGS, ADULT AND FAMILY HEALTH FAIRS, AND SENIOR CENTERS.
