Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
HOUSE N2 HOME WAS FOUNDED BY A GROUP OF FRIENDS WHO SAW AN UNMET NEED IN OUR COMMUNITY- THE CHALLENGE THAT INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES EXITING HOMELESSNESS FACED ATTEMPTING TO FURNISH THEIR NEWLY ACQUIRED RENTAL SPACE- AND DECIDED TO TRY TO MEET THAT NEED. THAT SMALL GROUP HAS NOW GROWN TO WELL OVER 100 ACTIVE VOLUNTEERS, AND NOW PARTNERS WITH OVER 35 WASHTENAW COUNTY AGENCIES TO FULLY FURNISH THEIR CLIENTS' NEW RENTAL HOUSING. TO DATE WE HAVE FURNISHED OVER 1000 HOMES. WE ARE ABLE TO DO THIS THROUGH GENEROUS IN-KIND AND MONETARY DONATIONS, ALLOWING US TO REUSE USEFUL HOUSEHOLD ITEMS, INCLUDING FURNITURE, THEREFORE REDUCING WASTE. OTHER THAN THE WORKERS WE HIRE TO DO OUR HEAVY LIFTING, WE REMAIN 100% VOLUNTEER RUN.
