EAST CALAIS COMMUNITY TRUCT (ECCT) PURCHASED THE EAST CALAIS STORE AND THREE LOW TO MODERATE INCOME APARTMENTS THROUGH DONATIONS AND GRANTS. IN 2022, IT CONTINUED TO COLLECT GRANT, DONATIONS AND RENTAL INCOME WHILE RESTORING THE BUILDING. IN OCTOBER 2022, ECCT CREATED A WHOLLY-OWNED SUBSIDIARY, (KINGSBURY BRANCH COMMUNITY PARTNERS, LLC - EIN -5611)TO ACT AS A GENERAL PARTNER IN A FOR-PROFIT ENTITY (4520 HISTORIC ENTERPRISE LIMITED PARTNERSHIP. "4520" WILL APPLY FOR HISTORIC PROPERTY STATUS, FINISH RESTORATION AND OPERATE THE PROPERTY. THE RENOVATION OF THE HISTORICAL BUILDING AT 4520 ROUTE 14 IN EAST CALAIS VT COMPLIED WITH ALL HISTORIC PRESERVATION REQUIREMENTS. THE GENERAL STORE OPENED FOR BUSINESS OCTOBER 1, 2023.
