THE MISSION OF EAST BAY POWER PLANT IS TO PROMOTE AWARENESS AND COLLABORATION BETWEEN COMMUNITY-BASED GROUPS, INDIVIDUALS, INDUSTRY, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES TO


PROTECT AND ENHANCE OUR ENVIRONMENT BY PLANTING AND CARING FOR TREES AND OTHER PLANTS IN THE BAY AREA. THIS ALSO INCLUDES THE EDUCATION AND INVOLVEMENT OF


CALIFORNIA'S DIVERSE COMMUNITIES IN THE URBAN FORESTRY MOVEMENT. THERE ARE MANY PROVEN BENEFITS OF INCREASING URBAN GREEN SPACES, SUCH AS IMPROVED AIR QUALITY.


FOR THESE REASONS AND OTHERS, THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF EAST BAY POWER PLANT IS ADVOCACY AND PLANTING TREES AND PLANTS IN THE BAY AREA.
