TO PROVIDE & FACILITATE ACCESS TO OBJECTIVE, ACCURATE, AND NON-JUDGMENTAL INFORMATION ABOUT PSYCHOACTIVE PLANTS, CHEMICALS, DRUGS, TECHNOLOGIES, AND RELATED ISSUES. EROWID ALSO SUPPORTS AND TRAINS INFORMATION PROVIDERS AND ASSISTS MEDICAL, LEGAL, AND SCIENTIFIC EXPERTS IN DEVELOPING RESOURCES.

DRUGSDATA LAB DRUG CHECKING -- EROWID CENTER RUNS A LABORATORY DRUG CHECKING PROGRAM THAT ANALYZES THE CONTENTS OF SAMPLES OF PSYCHOACTIVE DRUGS, INCLUDING: NOVEL PSYCHOACTIVE SUBSTANCES (NPS); EUPHORIC STIMULANT TABLETS AND POWDERS (INCLUDING MDMA/ECSTASY/MOLLY); PSYCHEDELICS, RESEARCH CHEMICALS; STREET HEROIN, FENTANYL AND OTHER OPIOIDS; AS WELL AS COMMERCIAL AND COUNTERFEIT PHARMACEUTICALS. SAMPLES ARE TESTED AT A DEA-LICENSED LABORATORY AND THE RESULTS ARE PUBLISHED ONLINE AT DRUGSDATA.ORG. EROWID'S DRUGSDATA PROJECT ALSO COLLECTS, MANAGES, REVIEWS, AND PRESENTS LABORATORY-TESTING RESULTS FROM OTHER US AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS. THIS INFORMATION IS MADE PUBLICLY AVAILABLE TO HELP HARM-REDUCTION EFFORTS, MEDICAL PERSONNEL, RESEARCHERS, AND THE PUBLIC. IN 2021, THERE WERE 1,738 SAMPLES TESTED THROUGH THE PROJECT, NEARLY DOUBLE THE PREVIOUS YEAR. THESE RESULTS WERE PUBLISHED ALONG WITH THOSE FOR AN ADDITIONAL 638 SAMPLES TESTED BY OTHER ORGANIZATIONS. AN AVERAGE OF 16,000 RESULTS WERE VIEWED PER DAY, WITH AN AVERAGE 8,000 UNIQUE VISITORS PER DAY. RESULTS WERE ALSO REGULARLY PUBLISHED ON SOCIAL MEDIA SYSTEMS WITH EROWID'S MORE THAN 100,000 FOLLOWERS. IN 2021, EROWID INCREASED ITS PARTNERSHIPS WITH RESEARCH GROUPS DOING LAB VALIDATION OF ON-SITE ANALYTICAL TOOLS SUCH AS COMPACT FTIR AND FENTANYL TEST STRIPS. [SEE SCHEDULE O]

PUBLIC ONLINE INFORMATION SERVICES -- EROWID CENTER DEVELOPS, MAINTAINS, AND PROVIDES FREE ACCESS TO AN ONLINE COLLECTION OF MORE THAN 94,000 DOCUMENTS, IMAGES, AND OTHER MEDIA FILES RELATED TO PSYCHOACTIVE PLANTS AND DRUGS. THE COLLECTION CONTAINS INFORMATION, ESSAYS AND ARTICLES AUTHORED BY A BROAD SPECTRUM OF CONTRIBUTORS INCLUDING HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS, SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELORS, TOXICOLOGISTS, CHEMISTS, THERAPISTS, LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENTS, LAWYERS, ANTHROPOLOGISTS, EXPERIENTIAL EXPERTS, WRITERS, MEDIA, EDUCATORS, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. NOTE THAT EROWID'S EXPERIENCE REPORTS PROJECT IS TRACKED AS A SEPARATE PROGRAM SERVICE.
3. ARCHIVING OF HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS -- EROWID CENTER'S MISSION INCLUDES COLLECTING, ORGANIZING, AND PRESERVING RESOURCES ABOUT PSYCHOACTIVES FOR THE HISTORICAL RECORD. IN 2021, EROWID'S PRIMARY DOCUMENT ARCHIVING PROJECT WAS TO CONTINUE DIGITIZING ALEXANDER AND ANN SHULGIN'S PERSONAL PAPERS, PHOTOGRAPHS, RECORDINGS, DOCUMENTS, AND BOOKS AS WELL AS BEGINNING THE PROCESS OF ORGANIZING, IDENTIFYING, AND CREATING METADATA FOR THE DIGITIZED FILES. WE ACCEPTED SMALLER PHYSICAL COLLECTIONS OF PERSONAL PAPERS FROM ANONYMOUS EXPERTS IN RELATED FIELDS TO BE ORGANIZED, INDEXED, PRESERVED, AND EVENTUALLY MADE PUBLICLY AVAILABLE. EROWID CENTER CONTINUES TO MAINTAIN AND UPGRADE A PHYSICAL SPACE DESIGNED TO ALLOW PROCESSING OF HISTORICAL ARCHIVE COLLECTIONS (ORGANIZING, SCANNING, PHOTOGRAPHING, AND DIGITIZING) AS WELL AS PERMANENT STORAGE OF SUCH LIBRARY ARCHIVES/COLLECTIONS.
