SKILL GROWTH (DOING BUSINESS AS CHOOSEU) IS A NON-PROFIT, DIRECT SERVICE, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION. THE CHOOSEU PROGRAM MODEL WORKS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH EMPLOYERS AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO CREATE A PROGRAM COMPOSED OF TRAINING, COACHING AND PLACEMENT SUPPORT, ALL ALIGNED TO SPECIFIC JOBS. CHOOSEU'S GOAL IS INCREASED EARNING AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS.SKILL GROWTH WAS ORIGINALLY FOUNDED AS GENERATION USA, THE UNITED STATES AFFILIATE OF GENERATION: YOU EMPLOYED (GYE), A GLOBAL WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION. IN FEBRUARY 2023, THE GYE BOARD MADE THE DECISION TO CHANGE ITS STRATEGY IN THE UNITED STATES AND INITIATED A DISAFFILIATION PROCESS WITH GENERATION USA.
