THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE CORPORATION IS TO PROMOTE THE COMMON GOOD AND GENERAL WELFARE OF THE PEOPLE AMD COMMUNITY OF NUIQSUT BY ASSISTING THE CITY OF NUIQSUT AND OTHER NUIQSUT ENTITIES IN ACCESSING GRANTS TO IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY OF NUIQSUT SUCH AS THROUGH NATIONAL PETROLEUM RESERVE - ALASKA ("NPR-A") IMPACT PROGRAM GRANTS SET FORTH IN 3 AAC 150.010 ET SEQ., AND AUTHORIZED BY AS 37.05.530, IN ORDER TO HELP MITIGATE ADVERSE IMPACTS ON THE REGION RELATED TO OIL AND GAS DEVELOPMENT WITHIN THE NPR-A.

PROVIDE SUPPORT, INFORMATION AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO THE CITY OF NUIQSUT AND OTHER NUIQSUT ENTITIES (E.G., NATIVE VILLAGE OF NUIQSUT) TO HELP THEM APPLY FOR GRANTS SUCH AS THE NPR-A IMPACT PROGRAM GRANT PROGRAM, ADMINISTER GRAND FUNDS AND COMPLETE GRAND PROJECTS CONSISTENT WITH THE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS.
