OUR DIRECTORS CONTACTED, JOINED AND HAD DIRECTORS OF THE THE HISTORICAL COMMISSIONS OF GUADALUPE COUNTY, GONZALES COUNTY. COMAL COUNTY, THE TEXAS HISTORICAL COMMISSION AND THE TEXAS HISTORICAL TRAILS, VISIT THE TEJAS TO TEXAS LIVING HISTORY MUSEUM. WE HAVE ALSO ENGAGED FAMILY MEMBERS, 6TH AND 6TH GENERATION TEXANS, THAT ARE RELATED TO THE HEROS OF TEXAS THAT LIVED IN THE 1830 LOG CABIN. VOLUNTEERS HAVE OPENED THE LOG CABIN FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN AND INTERESTED HISTORY BUFFS. WE ARE DEVELOPING TEKS TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF TEXAS SCHOOLS. WE FILED FOR A GRANTS WITH THE TEXAS HISTORICAL COMMISSION AND SUMMERLEE FOUNDATION TO REPAIR THE FAILING CHIMNEY IN THE LOG CABIN, BUT DID NOT RECEIVE THE GRANTS.
