OUR SOCIAL SKILLS STUDIO SUPPORTS THE DEVELOPMENT OF LIFE SKILLS AND SOCIAL SKILLS THROUGH AN INTEGRATED-ARTS MODEL WITH A FOCUS ON INTERPERSONAL INTERACTION, COMMUNITY INTEGRATION, AND GROUP COLLABORATION. WE SERVE 35 INDIVIDUALS IN THIS SETTING.
WE ENGAGE IN MONTHLY SOCIAL OUTINGS; SUCH AS HAUNTED MAZES, DINNER THEATER PRODUCTIONS, AMUSEMENT PARKS; WITH OUR PARTICIPANTS PRACTICE THE SKILLS LEARNED IN THE STUDIO.
OUR THEATER PROGRAMS FOLLOW A MULTI-STEP APPROACH WHERE INDIVIDUALS OF ALL ABILITIES COME TOGETHER TO CREATE ORIGINAL ONE-ACT MUSICALS PROMOTING SELF-ADVOCACY AND SOCIAL CONNECTION. THERE ARE 40 ACTORS INVOLVED IN THE THEATER PROGRAMS.
WE WORK ONE-ON-ONE WITH NEURODIVERSE INDIVIDUALS WITH INTEGRATING INTO SOCIETY AND ACHIEVING MAXIMUM INDEPENDENCE. THERE ARE CURRENTLY SIX INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATING IN INDIVIDUAL SKILL COACHING.
