IN 2021, BARTER THEATRE PRODUCED 10 IN-PERSON PROFESSIONAL SHOWS AT THE MOONLITE DRIVE-IN (ABINGDON), 2 PROFESSIONAL SHOWS AT BARTER THEATRE, OFFERED 11 VIRTUAL SHOWS, 6 ONLINE FREE STAGED READINGS (INCLUDING THE INAUGURAL THE BLACK IN APPALACHIA INITIATIVE NEW PLAY READING), AND AN ONLINE VERSION OF THE YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL, FOR A TOTAL AUDIENCE OF 53,854 PATRONS. BARTER'S EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS WERE HELD OUTDOORS IN THE SUMMER FOR A TOTAL OF 68 STUDENTS.
