COREKIDS SUMMER CAMP PROVIDED A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR 140 CHILDREN TO BE ACTIVE, CREATE A POSITIVE SOCIAL EXPERIENCE AND CONTINUED LEARNING FOR EIGHT FULL WEEKS DURING THE SUMMER. WE WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE VALUED AT $34,542 TO THOSE WHO OTHERWISE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM. WE CREATE INNOVATIVE WEEKLY THEMES TO KEEP CAMPERS ENGAGED AND INSPIRE THE DISCOVERY OF NEW FRIENDSHIPS. OUR CAMPS ARE BUILT AROUND INCORPORATING SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING PROGRAMS THAT ARE NOT TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS. IN ADDITION, WE PROVIDE ENHANCED SUMMER READING CHALLENGES WHICH ARE PROVEN TO PREVENT CHILDREN FROM REGRESSING ACADEMICALLY DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS.COREKIDS AFTER SCHOOL CHARE PROVIDES A SAFE, CARING AND ENRICHING ENVIRONMENT FOR CHILDREN TO LEARN, PLAY AND GROW. ACTIVITIES GENERALLY INCLUDE HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE,SWIMMING, SPORTS, AND TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES. CORESRQ HAS PARTNERSHIPS WITH ASHTON ELEMENTARY, GULF GATE ELEMENTARY, AND PINEVIEW SCHOOL. CORESRQ PROVIDES TRANSPORATION TO STUDENTS FROM ASHTON ELEMENTARY AND GULF GATE ELEMENARY WHILE PINEVIEW BUSSES ITS STUDENTS TO THE CORESRQ PALMER RANCH BRANCH.
AQUATICS: COREAQUATICS IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF OUR COMMUNITY IN PROVIDING LIFE SAVING SKILLS INCLUDING LIFEGUARD TRAINING AND CPR INSTRUCTION. CORESRQ PROVIDED SWIM INSTRUCTION AND LIFEGUARD SUPERVISION FOR 65 SUMMER CAMPERS AT ROBERT L. TAYLOR COMMUNITY COMPLEX IN COLLABORATION WITH THE MONDA FOUNDATION AND THE GULF COAST COMMUNITY FOUNDATION. SWIM LESSONS ARE OFFERED TO CHILDREN OF ALL ABILITIES AND ALL AGES. OUR SPECIAL NEEDS SWIM LESSONS TEACH CHILDREN TO SWIM IN A WAY THAT'S TAILORED TO THEIR ABILITIES AND LEARNING STYLE.CORESRQ PROVIDES THE COMMUNITY WITH AQUATIC FITNESS CLASSES INCLUDING THERAPEUTIC WATER CLASSES SUCH AS AQUATIC YOGA, RANGE OF MOTION, AEROBICS, LAP SWIMMING, AND WATER WALKING TO ALL AGES AND ABILITIES.
COMMUNITY IMPACT: CORESRQ INSPIRES A HEALTHIER COMMUNITY THROUGH ITS INNOVATIVE WELLNESS AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, BACKGROUNDS AND ABILITIES. THE PROGRAMS THAT CORESRQ PROVIDES ARE MISSION-DRIVEN. NO COMMUNITY MEMBER IS TURNED AWAY FROM PARTCIPATING IN OUR PROGRAMS AND MEMBERSHIP FOR AN INABILITY TO PAY.CORESRQ PROVIDED $102,464 IN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO OVER 1100 UNDERSERVED FAMILIES, ADULTS AND CHILDREN FROM SARASOTA COUNTY PROVIDING THEM WITH ACCESS TO CORESRQ PROGRAMS AND SERVICES. WE PROVIDE MORE THAN 200 IN PERSON CLASSES WEEKLY AS WELL AS ON-DEMAND VIRTUAL CLASSES. VARIOUS CLASS OPTIONS INCORPORATE CARDIO, STRENGTH, FLEXIBILTY, BALANCE AND FELLOWSHIP TO INSPIRE A HEALTHIER COMMUNITY. CORESRQ'S CERTIFIED COACHES PROVIDE OVER 400 PARKINSON'S CYCLING CLASSES ANNUALLY THAT ARE PROVEN TO REDUCE THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF PARKINSON'S DISEASE. THIS CLASS IS OFFERED TO PERSONS LIVING WITH THIS DISEASE AND OTHERS WHO SUFFER FROM SIMILAR NEUROLOGICAL EFFECTS.EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN THAT SUPPLEMENT SCHOOL LEARNING OR ADDRESSING EDUCATION THAT IS NEGLECTED BY SCHOOL PROGRAMS. CORESRQ PROVIDES VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR SENIORS, ADULTS AND CHILDREN. THROUGH STRATEGIC COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS AND INNOVATIVE PROGRAMMING, CORESRQ PROVIDES SERVICES TO UNSERVED AND UNDERSERVED MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY TO ENHANCE THEIR PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL AND SOCIAL WELL-BEING.
