ABIDE IN LOVE WORKS WITH THE COMMUNITY OF SANTO, HAITI, PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR FAMILIES TO DEVELOP, LEARN, AND BE EMPOWERED BY THE LOVE OF JESUS. THE LIST OF CLASSES WE OFFER CURRENTLY INCLUDES: ENGLISH CLASS (80 KIDS ENROLLED), BAKING (20 KIDS & YOUNG ADULTS ENROLLED), MECHANICS (10 YOUNG MEN ENROLLED), A MENTORSHIP PROGRAM FOR GIRLS (30 GIRLS ENROLLED), LADIES BIBLE STUDY (12 YOUNG WOMEN ENROLLED), AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS (40 KIDS ENROLLED), VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (OVER 100 KIDS SIGNED UP). WE ALSO OFFER COMMUNITY OUTREACH EVENTS WHICH BENEFIT OUR COMMUNITY IN MANY DIFFERENT WAYS. THESE INCLUDE FREE EVENTS FOR FAMILIES TO ATTEND ALLOWING THEM TO HAVE QUALITY TIME TOGETHER IN A SAFE SPACE. SOME EXAMPLES ARE MOVIE NIGHTS, WORSHIP EVENTS, EXPOS, CONFERENCES, PARENT TRAININGS, AND MORE. ON AVERAGE THESE EVENTS BRING IN ANYWHERE FROM 40-100 PEOPLE DEPENDING ON THE EVENT. THE EXPOS WE HAVE HOSTED TO FACILITATE BOOSTING THE ECONOMY GIVES LOCAL MERCHANTS THE CHANCE TO SHOWCASE THEIR ITEMS. THESE EACH BRING IN OVER 1,000 PEOPLE FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. LASTLY WE OFFER A MICR-OLOAN PROGRAM FOR FAMILIES LOOKING TO START SMALL BUSINESSES. WE HAVE 6 MICRO-LOAN RECIPIENTS WE WORK WITH HERE IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD. THEY RECEIVE AROUND $100-500 DEPENDING ON THE LOAN AND PAY IT FORWARD BY PAYING IT INTO THE COMMUNITY.
