Part 3 - Line 4a
FEAST COLLECTIVE'S CHEF PROGRAM (AND SUB-PROGRAM "TABLE TIME") TAKES PLACE AT FEAST WORLD KITCHEN: A FOOD ESTABLISHMENT AND COMMUNITY SPACE IN SPOKANE, WA THAT EXISTS FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE COMMUNITY AND THE EMPOWERMENT OF POOR, DISADVANTAGED, DISTRESSED, AND/OR UNDERPRIVILEGED PEOPLE WHO CAME AS REFUGEES AND IMMIGRANTS. WE BELIEVE DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION CAN HAPPEN AROUND THE TABLE. THIS NONPROFIT SOCIAL ENTERPRISE RESTAURANT, CATERING COMPANY, AND FOOD WHOLESALER FEATURES A ROTATION OF FORMER REFUGEE AND IMMIGRANT CHEF-ENTREPRENEURS. AS THEY SHARE FLAVOR AND CULTURE FROM THEIR ORIGINAL HOME COUNTRIES, FEAST'S CHEF PARTNERS LEARN CAREER SKILLS, EARN FAMILY-SUPPORTING INCOME, AND BUILD COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS. IN 2022 WE HAD 250 PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS, 200 VOLUNTEERS, AND SERVED THOUSANDS OF CUSTOMERS.
