THE "CENTRO DE INVESTIGACION, ENTRENAMIENTO Y RECLUTAMIENTO DEL TRABAJADOR ORGANIZADO" (THE "CENTER FOR RESEARCH, TRAINING AND RECRUITMENT OF ORGANIZED WORKERS, OR "CIERTO") ORGANIZES FARMWORKERS AROUND THE WORLD TO COLLABORATE WITH THEIR EMPLOYERS AND TOGETHER ENGAGE THE GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN TO IDENTIFY AND IMPLEMENT OPPORTUNITIES TO CREATE VALUE - TO THE BENEFIT OF FARMWORKERS, THEIR EMPLOYERS, THE COMPANIES WHO PURCHASE THE FARMS' PRODUCTS, AND THE CONSUMERS WHO ENJOY THOSE PRODUCTS. CIERTO'S MOST SIGNIFICANT PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR 2021 WERE TO PROVIDE RECRUITMENT AND TRAINING TO PLACE 1,177 WORKERS FROM VARIOUS COMMUNITIES IN MEXICO ON FARMS IN COLORADO, WASHINGTON AND CALIFORNIA. WE CONTINUE TO USE OUR THIRD PARTY VERIFICATION SYSTEM TO MONITOR OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS AND THROUGH THIS MECHANISM HAVE ENSURED THE SAFE, TRANSPARENT AND FRAUDULENT FREE RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR THESE WORKERS. WE ASSIST ALL WORKERS IN THE VISA PROCESS AND IN EVERY STEP FROM COMMUNITIES OF ORIGIN, TO CROSSING THE BORDER, TO ARRIVING ON FARMS.
