LADMC FOUNDATION RAN COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIRS IN THE LOS ANGELES REGION. THOSE FAIRS PROVIDED BASIC PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATION TO SOME OF THE MOST VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES IN THE LOS ANGELES REGION. THE FAIRS ALSO PROVIDED ATTENDEES WITH BASIC SCREENING TESTS SUCH AS DIABETES SCREENING OR BLOOD PRESSURE TESTS. THE FAIRS REACHED APPROXIMATELY 1,000 PEOPLE.
LADMC FOUNDATION CONTINUED ITS PROGRAM TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INDIVIDUALS TO BECOME NURSES FILLING A DIRE NEED FOR NURSES DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. SCHOLARSHIPS WERE APPLIED FOR THROUGH THE LADMC FOUNDATION WEBSITE AND AWARDED ON OBJECTIVE NON-DISCRIMINATORY BASES.
LADMC FOUNDATION'S NURSING HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROGRAM TAUGHT NURSES THROUGHOUT THE LOS ANGELES REGION SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE SUCH AS PATIENT COMMUNICATION THE LATEST IN PATIENT-CENTERED PRACTICES TEAM LEADERSHIP PRACTICES NEW TECHNOLOGY USES TO IMPROVE PATIENT OUTCOMES. THE PROGRAM HAD A FOCUS ON WELLNESS BENEFITS FOR NURSES DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC INCLUDING AWARDS FOR SERVICE DURING THE PANDEMIC.
