THE MUSEO DE LAS AMERICAS IS DEDICATED TO EDUCATING OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH COLLECTING PRESERVING INTERPRETING AND EXHIBITING THE DIVERSE ARTS AND CULTURES OF THE AMERICAS FROM ANCIENT TO CONTEMPORARY THROUGH INNOVATIVE EXHIBITIONS AND PROGRAMS.

FOR THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR OUR OUTREACH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS INCLUDING TOURS AND WORKSHOPS SERVED 24,492 PEOPLE. WITH A STRONG RETURN TO NORMAL SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING MUSEO WAS ABLE TO SERVE 996 STUDENTS IN TITLE I SCHOOLS WITH 1565 STUDENTS VISITING THE MUSEUM AND 330 STUDENTS SERVED VIRTUALLY AT SCHOOLS. THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING OFFERED THROUGH MUSEO DE LAS AMERICAS ENCOURAGES EXPLORATION OF THE ARTS AND CULTURES OF LATIN AMERICA. WE BROUGHT OUR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING TO 18 UNIQUE SCHOOLS IN AND AROUND THE DENVER METRO AREA. OUR HIGHEST NUMBERS WERE IN DENVER COUNTY WHERE WE SERVED 12,858 STUDENTS.
