THE ROLL OF THE DENVER LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION (DLF) IS TO BUILD STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS WITH ORGANIZATIONS, GOVERNMENTAL SERVICES AND FAITH BASED GROUPS TO INCREASE THE EFFECTS OF ADDRESSING COMMUNITY NEEDS SUCH AS HOMELESSNESS, EDUCATION AND AT RISK YOUTH ACROSS THE CITY. THE ONE CONGREGATION, ONE FAMILY INITIATIVE HAS HELPED OVER 1,000 FAMILIES IN NEED IN COLORADO. WITH WHIZ KIDS TUTORING, OVER 10,000 TUTORS HAVE BEEN RECRUITED AND TRAINED TO MENTOR 10,000 KIDS AND IS RUNNING AT OVER 44 SITES IN THE DENVER METRO AREA. THE ANNUAL COLORADO PRAYER LUNCHEON BRINGS LEADERS TOGETHER TO DEEPEN FAITH, FRIENDSHIPS, AND HELP LAUNCH OTHER MODELS OF HOPE. OTHER COMMUNITY PARTNERS INVOLVE ANNUAL EVENTS WITH THE DENVER NUGGETS AND NATIONAL WESTERN COMPLEX TO PROVIDE SPECIAL EVENTS FOR INNER CITY AT RISK YOUTH.
