PROFESSIONAL DEVELOMENT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT : IN FY23 COAEYC PROVIDED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS, INCLUDING A TEN WEEK SERIES ON SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING AND A BOOK CLUBOFOCUSED ON ANTI-BIAS EDUCATION, BENEFITING 89 PARTICIPANTS WHO EARNED APPOXIMATLEY 1,740 PD HOURS. COAEYC ALSO HOSTED THREE IN-PERSON EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT EVENTS IMPACTING AROUND 60 PARTICIPANTS. ADVOCACY AND PUBLIC POLICY: COAEYC FACILITATED THE PARTICIPATION OF 20 EARLY CHILDHOOD PROFESSIONALS AT THE NAEYE PUBLIC POLICY AND HOSTED ADVOCACY TRAINING SESSIONS DURING COMMUNITY GATHERINGS ON TOPLCS LIC RELATIONSHIP BUILDING AND WRITING LETTERS TO LEGISLATORS, EQUIPPING MEMBERS WITH SKILLS TO ENGAGE WITH STATE LEGISLATORS ABOUT ISSUES IMPORTANT TO THEM.
