Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

WE PROVIDE COMPLETE VETERINARY CARE FROM CHECK UPS, VACCINATIONS AND SPAY/NEUTER TO EXTENSIVE SURGICAL PROCEDURES AND ONGOING, FOLLOW-UP CARE FOR RESCUED ANIMALS. OUR ANIMALS ARE SUPPORTED IN FOSTER HOMES PRIOR TO PERMANENT ADOPTION AND IN THE CASE OF OUR HOSPICE ANIMALS, FOR THE REST OF THEIR DAYS. IN 2022 WE RESCUED 129 ANIMALS OF ALL KINDS AND FOUND HOMES FOR 91. MANY OF THESE ANIMALS WERE SENIORS AND SPECIAL NEEDS, THE DISCARDED AND UNWANTED. THERE ARE 129 DIFFERENT STORIES, MANY OF RENEWAL AND NEW LIFE, NO MATTER THE ACTUAL AGE. HERE ARE TWO MASON, A SENIOR DOG, CAME TO US AFTER HIS PERSON PASSED SUDDENLY, LEAVING MASON IN HIS HOME ALONE, WITH FAMILY MEMBERS STOPPING BY TO CARE FOR HIM.

POOR MASON WAS A MESS. HE COULD HARDLY WALK, WAS FILTHY, SKINNY, HAD LYME DISEASE, AND ONE OF THE WORST EAR AND EYE INFECTIONS WE HAD EVER SEEN. AFTER A TRIP TO THE VET, SOME MEDS, AND A MUCH NEEDED BATH, MASON STARTED ON HIS ROAD TO RECOVERY. WEEKS LATER, MASON DIDNT JUST WALK WITHOUT PAIN, HE RAN. THIS ONCE-SAD AND RESERVED DOG WAS NOW THE PICTURE OF HAPPINESS. HIS TAIL NEVER STOPPED WAGGING. HIS LEGS STILL GOT WOBBLY AFTER LONGER WALKS, BUT HIS STRENGTH HAD INCREASED. HE WAS A DIFFERENT DOG WITH A NEW LEASE ON LIFE. MASON SOON FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME. HE IS DOING GREAT NOW, LOVED BY HIS NEW MOMMA, ENJOYING CAR RIDES AND HANGING OUT AT GRANDMA AND GRANDPA'S HOUSE.

POLA, A MOTHER COMMUNITY CAT, HAD A SERIOUS INJURY TO HER PAW. WHILE TRAPPING POLA AND HER BABIES. WE MET TWO WONDERFUL WOMAN WHO'D BEEN HELPING POLA, AND THEY OFFERED HER A HOME. POLAS WOUND WAS ACTUALLY A NASTY TUMOR. AFTER REMOVAL, THE VET SAID IT WOULD LIKELY RETURN IN A YEAR AND THAT POLA WAS AS FERAL AS FERAL GETS. HE SUGGESTED EUTHANIZING HER. BUT WE DECIDED POLA DESERVED A CHANCE IN A HOME. WE SET UP A HUGE CRATE WHERE POLA COULD HIDE, GAVE STRICT INSTRUCTIONS TO NOT TOUCH HER AND TO JUST LET HER BE. TO EVERYONES SURPRISE POLA ALMOST IMMEDIATELY PLANTED HERSELF ON ONE OF HER HUMAN'S LAP! THIS TOO FERAL FOR LIFE CAT JUST WANTED LOVE POLA IS NOW THE NICEST, SWEETEST, MOST LOVING CAT. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL REMINDER TO HAVE HOPE, BELIEVE IN MIRACLES, AND TO NEVER GIVE UP.
