ZOO SUPPORT - MEMBERSHIP FEES AND CONTRIBUTIONS ARE SOLICITED; ZOO VOLUNTEERS ARE RECRUITED, TRAINED AND COORDINATED; A PERIODIC PUBLICATION IS ISSUED; SPECIAL EVENTS FOR MEMBERS ARE SPONSORED; SUPPORT FOR ZOOKEEPER EDUCATION IS PROVIDED; AND ADDITIONS OR UPGRADES OF ZOO EXHIBITS ARE SUPPORTED.
GIFT SHOP AND CAFE - THE FRIENDS RUN A GIFT SHOP AND JUNGLE CAFE ON THE GROUNDS OF THE ZOO FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF THE VISITORS. ALL PROFITS FROM SALES GO TO SUPPORT THE ZOO. THIS AMOUNT IS THE OPERATING COSTS OF RUNNING THE GIFT SHOP AND CAFE.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS - THE FRIENDS HAVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AT THE ZOO DURING THE SUMMER AND DURING SCHOOL BREAKS, AS WELL AS PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS IN THE COMMUNITY (ZOO TO YOU).
