STATE LEADERSHIP PROJECT (SLP) IS A RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA-BASED ORGANIZATION THAT CULTIVATES AND FUNDS STRATEGIC EFFORTS TO GROW A SUSTAINABLE CIVIC ECOSYSTEM AROUND THE COUNTRY. ITS PRIMARY MISSION IS TO INCREASE RESOURCES FOR THE CHARITABLE COMMUNITY WORKING IN PURSUIT OF SOCIAL CHANGE. OUR ROLE WILL BE TO SUPPORT THE PROFESSIONAL LEADERSHIP OF STATE-BASED DONOR NETWORKS AND FUND PROGRAMS IN THE STATES THAT NOT ONLY ENCOURAGE CIVIC PARTICIPATION, BUT ALSO FOSTER A GREATER UNDERSTANDING AMONG CIVIC LEADERS OF INEQUALITIES BASED ON RACE, CLASS, GENDER, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, AND CITIZENSHIP.SLP WILL PROVIDE NOT ONLY FUNDING, BUT ALSO TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING TO SECTION 501 (C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS. THIS ASSISTANCE WILL SUPPORT THE ORGANIZATIONS IN THE RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION OF CHARITABLE DONORS AND ASSIST WITH THE REVIEW OF 501(C)(3) PLANS AND PROJECTS THAT ARE CRITICAL TO HEALTHY CIVIC ENGAGEMENT AND ROBUST PARTICIPATION IN DEMOCRACY IN OUR STATES.
