BEGAN APPLICATION PROCESS WITH USDA TO BECOME A SNAP PARTICIPANT TO MAKE POSSIBLE THE PURCHASE OF FRESH FOODS AT THE MARKET WITH FOOD STAMPS FOR LOCAL RESIDENTS. AWARDED "QUALITY OF LIFE" AWARD FROM CITY OF ROME FOR EFFORTS AIMED AT IMPORVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS BY INCREASING AND IMPORVING ACCESS TO HEALTHY FOOD CHOICES FOR RESIDENTS LIVING IN AN AREA DESIGNATED AS A FOOD DESERT BY THE USDA.
