5-DAY PROGRAM WHOSE MISSION IS TO INSPIRE, GUIDE, AND EDUCATE THE NEXT GENERATION OF FARMERS AND FOOD BUSINESS ENTREPRENEURS, AS WELL AS EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS TO GROW FOOD AT HOME SUSTAINABLY AND WITH CLIMATE CHANGE IN MIND. SKILLS TAUGHT ARE EVERYTHING FROM SITE AND SEED SELECTION, PLANTING, NON-TOXIC WEED MANAGEMENT, PEST MANAGEMENT, TO HARVESTING, PAYING ATTENTION TO WEATHER PATTERNS, MARKETS FOR PRODUCE, FARM STAND MANAGEMENT, AND MORE. ALL PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE BUSINESS COACHING SHOULD THEY DECIDE TO START A FARM OR FOOD-BASED BUSINESS. IN OUR FIRST PROGRAM, DESPITE THE PANDEMIC IN 2021, WE HAD 4 PARTICIPANTS. TWO OF THEM STARTED THEIR OWN ORGANIC FARM IN THE 2022 SEASON. DUE TO COVID, WE HAD 1 PARTICIPANT IN 2022. SHE LEARNED HOW TO GROW FOOD FOR HER FAMILY.
