Part 3 - Line 4a
SANTA THERESA TILEWORKS PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR LOWER-INCOME STUDENTS AND FAMILIES OF IMAGO DEI MIDDLE SCHOOL TO CREATE ART AND LEARN SKILLS NOT TAUGHT AT REGULAR SCHOOLS. THESE SERVICES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE TO OTHER SCHOOLS IN THE AREA, AND THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES WORKSHOPS FOR THE PUBLIC. DUE TO THE CONTINUED IMPACT OF COVID-19 AND PUBLIC HEALTH CONDITIONS, MANY WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES HAD TO BE CANCELLED, CAUSING THE ORGANIZATION TO LOSE THIS FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY. THEREFORE, SALES OF KITS AND ART CREATED BY STAFF, STUDENTS, AND VOLUNTEERS HAS BECOME THE MAIN FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY FOR SANTA THERESA TILEWORKS, WHILE STILL MAKING SURE TO COMPLY WITH ITS NONPROFIT MISSION AND ALLOWING STUDENTS AND VOLUNTEERS TO CONTINUE TO CREATE ART AND LEARN.
