BY EDUCATING THE GENERAL PUBLIC, POLICY MAKERS AND REGULATORS ABOUT THE BENEFICIAL IMPACTS ANGLING HAS ON MINNESOTA'S QUALITY OF LIFE, MN-FISH ADVOCATES FOR THE DESIRES OF ITS MEMBERS TO IMPROVE FISHING, FISH MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY ACCESS TO OUR PUBLIC RESOURCES.MN-FISH STAYS IN CONSTANT CONTACT WITH ITS 5,000 MEMBERS THROUGH EMAIL AND SOCIAL MEDIA SO WE CAN SHARE NEW AND DEVELOPING INFORMATION IMPORTANT TO THE ANGLING COMMUNITY AND UPDATES ON MN-FISH ACTIVITIES.ANNUALLY MN-FISH HOLDS AN "ANGLERS SUMMIT" THAT INCLUDES PRESENTATIONS BY THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES (DNR) WHO SHARE FISHERIES MANAGEMENT DESCISIONS AND PROSPECTIVES ON FISHERIES MANAGEMENT NEEDS. THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR MN-FISH MEMBERS TO LEARN AND ASK DETAILED QUESTIONS OF STATE REGULATORS ABOUT THEIR CONCERNS AND PERSPECTIVES ABOUT REGULATION CHANGES THAT INFLUENCE THE FUTURE OF ANGLING IN MN.AFTER YEARS OF EDUCATING MINNESOTA POLICY MAKERS AND STATE REGULATORS ABOUT THE YEARS OF ERODING INVESTMENTS BY THE STATE INTO THE PUBLIC ANGLING INFRASTRUCTURE, MN ANGLERS SUCCESSFULLY ADVOCATED FOR THE MN LEGISLATURE IN 2023 TO ALLOCATE $98 MILLION FOR THE PROCESS OF REBUILDING THE STATE'S PUBLIC WATER ACCESS (PWA) SYSTEM AND BEGIN MODERNIZING THE STATES FISH HATCHERY SYSTEM.
