THE FUREVER FRIENDS & RESCUE OF APPANOOSE GROUP DID SEVERAL THINGS DURING 2021 TO ADVANCE GOALS & PURPOSE.. THE GROUP BROKE GROUND ON A FUTURE ANIMAL SHELTER IN APPANOOSE COUNTY THAT SHOULD BE COMPLETED IN EARLY 2023. THE FACILITY WILL BE ABLE TO HOLD 50 DOGS & 10 CATS & WILL BE THE FIRST & ONLY ANIMAL SHELTER IN THE COUNTY. THE GROUP ALSO PROVIDED VETERINARY CARE TO MORE THAN 50 ANIMALS DURING THE YEAR & WORKED WITH SHELTERS IN SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES AS WELL AS VOLUNTEERS WITHIN THE COUNTY & IN SURROUNDING COUNTIES TO FIND HOMES FOR MORE THAN 30 ANIMALS. DURING THE YEAR, THE ORGANIZATION ALSO BEGAN A LOCAL PROGRAM TO HAND OUT FREE DRY & CANNED DOG & CAT AS WELL CAT LITTER IN CONJUNCTION WITH LOCAL FOOD PANTRY THE LORD'S CUPBOARD & WERE ABLE TO HELP MANY PEOPLE DURING THE LAST SERVERL MONTHS OF THE YEAR THROUGH THIS PROGRAM
