VOPA IS IN THE BEGINNING STAGES OF LAND DEVELOPMENT AND PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT. VOPA PLANS TO BUILD A VILLAGE OF 15 TINY HOMES SURROUNDING A 6,500 SQUARE FOOT COMMUNITY CENTER FOR HOMELESS VETERANS ON AN APPROXIMATE 5-ACRE PLOT ALONG THE SUSQUEHANNA RIVER IN SOUTH HARRISBURG. THIS UNIQUE BUT PROVEN CONCEPT IS SPECIALLY DESIGNED TO MEET THE SPECIFIC NEEDS OF HOMELESS VETERANS. A CALM SETTING, CLOSE TO TRANSPORTATION AND SERVICE PROVIDERS, IS A SIGNIFICANT COMPONENT OF THE VETERANS' HEALING PROCESS.
