Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
UNITED SPINAL ASSOCIATION WORKS WITH BUSINESSES AND GOVERNMENT, CONTINUES TO ENSURE THAT NEWLY BUILT AND RENOVATED BUILDINGS COMPLY WITH STATE AND LOCAL ACCESSIBILITY CODES. THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES STAFF ALSO CONDUCTS CONTINUING EDUCATION TRAINING FOR APPROXIMATELY 4000 ARCHITECTS, DESIGN PROFESSIONALS AND BUILDING CODE OFFICIALS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. VETSFIRST CONTINUED ITS ADVOCACY ON BEHALF OF VETERANS. OUR NATIONAL SERVICES OFFICERS VISITED WITH VETERANS TO ADDRESS THEIR HEALTH CARE NEEDS AND CLAIMS FOR VA BENEFITS. VETSFIRST'S NATIONAL SERVICE OFFICERS PROVIDED COUNSELING AND DIRECT CLAIMS AND APPEALS REPRESENTATION BEFORE THE VA TO APPROXIMATELY 1300 VETERANS AND THEIR DEPENDENTS AND SURVIVORS.UNITED SPINAL ASSOCIATION PROVIDED SIGNIFICANT SUPPORT TO INDIVIDUALS WITH SPINAL CORD INJURIES AND DISORDERS IMPACTED BY COVID-19.
