THE CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED AND SHALL BE OPERATED EXCLUSIVELY TO SUPPORT THE MISSIONS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN HOSPITALS AND CLINICS AUTHORITY, UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN MEDICAL FOUNDATION, AND THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AND PUBLIC HEALTH BY FACILITATING THE DEVELOPMENT AND TRANSLATION OF INNOVATIONS AND USEFUL TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPED AT UW HEALTH AND THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN, INCLUDING IN COLLABORATION WITH OTHER RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS AND PARTNERS, TO IMPROVE HEALTH AND HEALTHCARE BY PREVENTING AND ALLEVIATING THE EFFECTS OF DISEASE.

THE ISTHMUS PROJECT WAS FOUNDED WITH THE INTENT TO SUPPORT HEALTHCARE INNOVATION ARISING FROM OUR OWN ECOSYSTEM, INCLUDING INNOVATORS FROM UW HEALTH AND UW SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AND PUBLIC HEALTH. SERVICES THE ISTHMUS PROJECT OFFERS INCLUDE:1) HELPING CONNECT INNOVATORS TO ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT RESOURCES INCLUDING MENTORS, POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS, FUNDERS, AS WELL AS ENGINEERING AND IP SERVICES.2) PROVIDING MENTORSHIP ON TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT AND BUSINESS PLANNING INCLUDING MARKET ASSESSMENT AND COMPANY VALUATION.FUNDING OPTIONS AND SUPPORT INCLUDING UW HEALTH FUNDING.
