IN 2023, THE RIVER FUND MAINE (TRFM) CONTINUED TO FOCUS ON THREE KEY AREAS: EDUCATION, RECREATION, AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH, WORKING WITH LOCAL GROUPS TO ACHIEVE SHARED GOALS. HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: EDUCATION: A COLLEGE AND TRADE SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS TO FOSTER FUTURE COMMUNITY LEADERS. - FOUR COLLEGE SCHOLARS EACH RECEIVING 20K ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR TOTAL OF FOUR YEARS. - ONE TRADES SCHOLAR RECEIVING 10K ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR A TOTAL OF TWO YEARS CAREER WORKSHOP FOR GRADES 9-12 TO LEARN ABOUT DIFFERENT CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN TRADES, EDUCATION, HEALTH, BUSINESS, FINANCIAL AND OTHER PROFESSIONAL SECTORS.
