IN MAY OF 2021, OACA UNDERWENT A LEADERSHIP TRANSITION. KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR 2021 INCLUDED:-MORE THAN 1 MILLION DOLLARS IN GRANTS THAT OACA HELPED TO WRITE AWARDED TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS. -WE HAD MORE THAN 60 PARTICIPANTS IN 2021S TOGETHER WE FARM TRAINING PROGRAM AND AWARDED 18 TRAINING INCENTIVE GRANTS TOTALING OVER $32K. THIS PROGRAM, FUNDED BY THE HAWAI'I DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, HELPED TO SUPPORT FARMER EDUCATION ON ISSUES SUCH AS SOIL HEALTH, PESTICIDE SAFETY AND WORKER PROTECTION. OACA WAS ALSO INVOLVED IN A NUMBER OF PARTNERSHIP NETWORKS, INCLUDING PROVIDING SUPPORT TO THE AG MICROFINANCE HUI.
