MOWED RUNNING TRAILS AND GROOMED SKI TRAILS FOR RESIDENTS AND VISITORS TO COOK COUNTY ON THE PINCUSHION MOUNTAIN TRAIL SYSTEM. APPROXIMATELY 1,000 PEOPLE BENEFIT DIRECTLY EACH YEAR THROUGH CLUB-HOSTED EVENTS AND PROGRAMS, AND SEVERAL THOUSAND ADDITIONAL VISITORS HAVE ALSO BENEFITED DUE TO THE TRAILS/ CONVENIENT LOCATION AND BEAUTY.
MANAGE VARIOUS RUNNING AND SKIING RACES AND PROVIDE PROFESSIONALLY COACHED TRAINING SESSIONS TO SUPPORT OUR MEMBERS AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.
PROVIDED FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO HIGH SCHOOL SKI TEAM FOR GEAR PURCHASES, COACHING AND GENERAL RACE SUPPORT TO APPROXIMATELY 2 DOZEN LOCAL STUDENTS AND HOSTED RACES THAT INCLUDED HALF A DOZEN REGIONAL SKI TEAMS.
PROVIDED LOGISTICAL AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO YOUNG COOK COUNTY SKIERS WITH A YOUTH SKI PROGRAM. THE NSSRC MAINTAINS AND PROVIDES AN INVENTORY OF EQUIPMENT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN AND THE CLUB HOSTED WEEKLY LESSONS FOR ABOUT 60 KIDS AND PARENTS USING THE MYSL COACHING APP AND GEAR.
