SUPPORT REFUGEE & IMMIGRANT FARMERS' ACCESS TO FARMLAND: OUTREACH TO FARMLAND OWNERS, EVALUATION OF AVAILABLE FARMLAND, ACQUIRING KEY FARMLAND AND MAKING IT AVAILABLE TO REFUGEE & IMMIGRANT FARMERS, ASSISTING WITH FINDING, EVALUATING, AND NEGOTIATING LEASES ON FARMLAND
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT & CONSENSUS-BUILDING: WORK WITH THE LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE (ELECTED BY FARMERS) TO PLAN FARMER MEETINGS AND BUILD FACILITATION SKILLS. BUILD CONSENSUS AMONG FARMER GROUPS FOR MAJOR DECISIONS FACING THE ORGANIZATION, INCLUDING SETTING STRATEGIC PRIORITIES AND REAL ESTATE DECISIONS.
TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE: TRAINING REFUGEE AND IMMIGRANT FARMERS TO ADAPT THEIR TRADITIONAL FARMING TECHNIQUES TO A NEW ENGLAND CLIMATE AND NAVIGATE U.S. BUSINESS AND MARKETING SYSTEMS.
