RESTORATION OF THE HISTORIC SCANDIA WATER TOWER BARN AND CREATION OF AN ARTS & HERITAGE CENTER THAT INCLUDES THE WATER TOWER BARN MUSEUM, AN AMPHITHEATER, WETLAND TRAILS AND OVERLOOK, A WATER PLAY AREA, AND A SUMMER CAF FEATURING TRADITIONAL SWEDISH FARE.


DEVELOPMENT OF A SCANDIA HERITAGE TRAIL MAP AND INTERPRETIVE SIGNAGE THAT TELLS THE HISTORY OF SCANDIA'S HISTORIC SITES. THIS MAP IS AVAILABLE FOR FREE AT MANY LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE SCANDIA COMMUNITY INCLUDING THE SCANDIA COMMUNITY CENTER AND GAMMELGARDEN MUSEUM.


SCANDIA HISTORY SERIES PROGRAMS - PUBLIC EVENTS AND PRESENTATIONS THAT SHARE STORIES AND ARTIFACT DISPLAYS ON THE HISTORY OF SCANDIA. IN 2023, SCANDIA HERITAGE ALLIANCE CELEBRATED THE 55TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE WILD AND SCENIC RIVER ACT BY ORGANIZING A BOAT TRIP DOWN THE RIVER WHERE AUTHENTIC RECIPES ONCE PREPARED BY THE MONDALE FAMILY WERE ENJOYED. SHA ALSO PREPARED A VINTAGE SKI DISPLAY AND KUBB TOURNMENT AS PART OF SCANDIA'S VINTERFEST CELEBRATION. FINALLY, IN AUGUST, 2023, TWO SPEAKERS SHARED THE PARALLELS BETWEEN OJIBWE AND SWEDISH CULTURE AT THE ANNUAL FIDDLEFEST AT GAMMELGARDEN MUSEUM.
