OUR PURPOSES ARE:1 TO BRING TOGETHER WOMEN OF SIGNIFICANCE AND DIVERSE ACHIEVEMENTS IN ORDER TO FACILITATE COMMUNICATION AMONG AND EMPOWERMENT OF ALL WOMEN.2 TO FOSTER COMMUNICATION AMONG PREEMINENT WOMEN TO ENABLE THEM, INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY, TO EXERT INFLUENCE AND TO DISCHARGE THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES IN THEIR COMMUNITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL WOMEN.3 TO PROVIDE BROAD LEADERSHIP AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND INFORMATION FOR AND THROUGH ITS MEMBERS IN AREAS WHERE SUCH MEMBERS ARE LOCATED; AND TO SUPPORT THE WORK OF THE GLOBAL INTERNATIONAL WOMENS FORUM INC. (IWF) TO HELP FUTURE GENERATIONS OF WOMEN LEADERS AND SUPPORT ITS MISSION OF ADVANCING WOMENS LEADERSHIP ACROSS CULTURES AND CONTINENTS.WE PRODUCE PROGRAMS AND MEETINGS THAT BRING OUR MEMBERS TOGETHER TO LEARN ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY AND THE WORLD. OUR PROGRAMS ALSO AIM TO CREATE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN MEMBERS THAT HELP TO BUILD A STRONG NETWORK OF WOMEN LEADERS WHO CAN HELP EACH OTHER TO SUCCEED.TYPICAL PROGRAMS LAST TWO HOURS. PROGRAMS HAVE A BRIEF BUSINESS MEETING FOLLOWED BY A PRESENTATION FROM A COMMUNITY LEADER ON AN ISSUE THAT INFORMS OR HELPS MEMBERS TO BUILD CONNECTIONS AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS, FOLLOWED BY Q&A AND DISCUSSION.THESE PROGRAMS REPRESENT 100% OF OUR ACTIVITIES. THE IWF-WASHINGTON STATE DOES NOT HAVE ANY STAFF; OUR EVENTS ARE DESIGNED, PRODUCED AND RUN BY VOLUNTEERS. DUE TO COVID-19, THE MAJORITY OF OUR 2022 MEETINGS WERE CONDUCTED VIRTUALLY RATHER THAN IN PERSON.THE IWF-WASHINGTON STATE IS FUNDED BY MEMBERSHIP DUES. DUES FOR 2022 WERE $750 FROM EACH MEMBER. THE IWF-WASHINGTON STATE FORUM HAS 189 MEMBERS.
