WE ADVOCATE FOR AN END TO PRETRIAL DETENTION AND TO ABOLISH THE PRISON INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX. SPECIALLY, WE WORK TO MINIMIZE THE HARM OF THE CASH BAIL SYSTEM BY PAYING BAIL FOR PEOPLE WHO WOULD OTHERWISE SPEND PRETRIAL TIME IN JAIL OR SUCCUMB TO PRESSURE TO TAKE A PLEA IN ORDER TO REGAIN FREEDOM.

IN TOTAL, WE POSTED $3,714,581 IN BAIL FOR 811 INDIVIDUALS IN PRETRIAL DETENTION ACROSS KING, PIERCE, AND SNOHOMISH COUNTIES WHILE STRENGTHENING OUR ADVOCACY AND VOLUNTEER EFFORTS TOWARD SYSTEMIC CHANGE. WE HAVE CULTIVATED A ROBUST AND DEDICATED VOLUNTEER COMMUNITY COMMITTED TO IMMEDIATE HARM REDUCTION AND ADVOCATING FOR THE ELIMINATION OF THE CASH BAIL SYSTEM, WHICH DISPROPORTIONATELY IMPACTS LOW-INCOME AND MARGINALIZED COMMUNITIES
