THE OREGON EXTENSION (OE) IS AN UNDERGRADUATE COLLEGE PROGRAM IN SOUTHERN OREGON OFFERING A 17 CREDIT SEMESTER OF COURSEWORK THAT IS ACCREDITED THROUGH A FORMAL RELATIONSHIP WITH EASTERN MENNONITE UNIVERSITY IN HARRISONBURG, VA. THE OE DRAWS STUDENTS FROM A VARIETY OF COLLEGES TO STUDY FOR A SEMESTER IN A MOUNTAIN SETTING WHERE STUDENTS STUDY INTENSIVELY IN 3-WEEK BLOCKS, WITH INTERLUDES BETWEEN ALLOWING FOR IMMERSION EXPERIENCES OF FOREST FIELDWORK, BACKPACKING, AND AN URBAN PLUNGE.
