MAINERS FOR HOME CARE WORKED TO SUPPORT A REFERENDUM ON A HOME BASED LONG TERM CARE POLICY, TO BE FUNDED BY NEW STATE TAX REVENUE. THE REFERENDUM DID NOT PASS, BUT MAINERS FOR HOME CARE DID ACCOMPLISH EDUCATING TENS OF THOUSANDS OF MAINERS ABOUT THE NEED TO EXPAND ACCESS TO HOME BASED LONG TERM CARE SERVICES FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND THE ELDERLY. WE KNOCKED ON TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOORS, HELD PRESS CONFERENCES, ONE-ON-ONE MEETINGS, CONDUCTED ADVERTISING ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND TELEVISION.
