THE ORGANIZATION HOSTED ITS FIRST EVER WESTERN POWER PLAYERS EVENT, WHICH BROUGHT TOGETHER VARIOUS STAKEHOLDERS INVOLVED WITH THE CONVERSATION ABOUT MODERNIZING THE WESTERN ELECTRICITY GRID. INVOLVED PARTIES INVOLVED KEY POLICY MAKERS, ELECTRICITY INDUSTRY LEADERS, ACADEMICS STUDYING THIS AREA AND NON-PROFIT LEADERS. A WHITE PAPER WAS PUBLISHED FOLLOWING THE EVENT DETAILING THE KEY THEMES FROM THE FORUM AND AGREED UPON NEXT STEPS, WHICH INCLUDED FUTURE CONVENINGS OF THIS TYPE. SPEAKERS AND PARTICIPANTS AT THE ORGANIZATION'S EVENTS ARE SELECTED BASED ON POLICY EXPERTISE. DIFFERENT VIEWPOINTS ARE ALWAYS ENCOURAGED AND WELCOMED UNDER THE COMMITMENT TO AVAIL EXPERTISE TO THESE TOPICS. SUCH EVENTS ARE ORGANIZED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND OTHER KEY PERSONNEL.
