URBAN VOICES PROJECT USES MUSIC TO CREATE SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY SPACES THAT BRIDGE VULNERABLE INDIVIDUALS TO A SENSE OF PURPOSE AND IMPROVED HEALTH. OUR MUSIC WORKSHOPS ENGAGE MEN, WOMEN AND FAMILIES ACROSS THE GREATER LA AREA IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SOCIAL, CIVIC AND HEALTH CARE ORGS

1. HIGHLY IMPACTFUL, COVID SAFE MUSIC VIDEO WITH PRE-RECORDED TRACKS AND LIVE IN-PERSON CHOREOGRAPHY THAT INCORPORATED ASL AND PROMOTED A CLEAR PRO-VACCINE MESSAGE; 2. BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT WAS THE RE-ENTRY TO THE LIVE OPERATIONS WITH A HYBRID VIRTUAL MUSIC PERFORMANCE; 3. WEEKLY PROGRAMS CONTINUED UNINTERRUPTED TO THE CORE CONSTITUENCY. 4. A HOLIDAY CALLED HOME EVOLVED INTO A PARTICIPANT-ORGANIZED COMMUNITY CELEBRATION THAT GAVE BACK TO THE NEIGHBORS, PROMOTED COMMUNITY PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS, AND ALSO OFFERED STREET MEDICINE INCLUDING COVID TESTS, VACCINES, AND GENERAL CARE.
