OUR MISSION IS TO ENSURE THAT CHILDREN IN OUR COMMUNITY HAVE APPROPRIATE CLOTHING NEEDED TO PROVIDE SAFETY, COMFORT, AND HIGHER SELF-WORTH.

Part 3 - Line 4a

GIVE LIKE A MOTHER (GLAM), ESTABLISHED IN 2018, FOCUSES ON ADDRESSING CLOTHING INSECURITY FOR CHILDREN IN THE CINCINNATI REGION. OVER THE PAST SIX YEARS, THE ORGANIZATION HAS SIGNIFICANTLY EXPANDED ITS IMPACT, GROWING FROM SERVING 30 FAMILIES ANNUALLY TO DISTRIBUTING 3,270 CLOTHING PACKS IN 2023. GLAM COLLECTS CLOTHING DONATIONS FROM THE COMMUNITY, METICULOUSLY SORTS THROUGH THESE CONTRIBUTIONS, AND RETAINS ITEMS SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN. GLAM ALSO RECEIVES MONETARY DONATIONS USED TO PURCHASE CLOTHING FOR THOSE HIGH-DEMAND NEEDS. REFERRALS FOR ASSISTANCE CAN BE MADE BY ANY COMMUNITY MEMBER, INCLUDING PARENTS OR CAREGIVERS, AND CAN BE SUBMITTED ONLINE, VIA PHONE, OR THROUGH A PAPER REFERRAL FORM. ONCE THE CLOTHING PACKS ARE PREPARED FOR DISTRIBUTION, FAMILIES ARE PROMPTLY NOTIFIED. FOR THOSE WHO FACE CHALLENGES IN PICKING UP THE CLOTHING PACKS FROM THE FACILITY, GLAM OFFERS ALTERNATIVE DISTRIBUTION OPTIONS TO ENSURE ALL FAMILIES RECEIVE THE SUPPORT THEY NEED.IN ADDITION, GLAM EXPERIENCED SIGNIFICANT GROWTH DURING 2023. DURING THE YEAR * GLAM DISTRIBUTED 45% MORE CLOTHING PACKS TO CHILDREN IN THE COMMUNITY THAN IN 2022.* GLAM EXPERIENCED A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN MATERIAL CLOTHING DONATIONS FROM THE COMMUNITY FOLLOWING THE MOVE TO A MORE CENTRAL LOCATION ALLOWING FOR INCREASED INVENTORY AND DISTRIBUTION. IN ADDITION, A THOROUGH INVENTORY COUNTING SYSTEM HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED.
