OUR INPATIENT MALNUTRITION PROGRAM EXISTS TO PROVIDE TEMPORARY YET EMERGENT MEDICAL CARE FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE AFFECTED BY SEVERE ACUTE MALNUTRITION. CHILDREN WHO MEET THE STANDARDS OF SEVERE ACUTE MALNUTRITION ARE TREATED BY QUALIFIED MEDICAL STAFF FOLLOWING THE PLUMPY NUT TREATMENT PLAN. THEY ARE ALSO TREATED FOR GENERAL HEALTH CONCERNS THAT ARE PREVALENT IN CHILDREN WITH MALNUTRITION. CHILDREN ARE TREATED ON AN INPATIENT BASIS OFTEN WITH CONTINUING CARE THROUGH OUTPATIENT SERVICES. 111 CHILDREN WERE TREATED DURING 2021. CAREGIVERS ARE GIVEN A PLACE TO STAY AT TEH RECOVERY CENTER AS THIER CHILD HEALS FROM MALNUTRITION TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE TO ATTEND ALL APPOINTMENTS ADVOCACY SERVICES AND ALL CAREGIVERS UNDERGO HEALTH AND NUTRITION WORKSHOPS BIBLE STUDY AD HAVE ACCESS TO BOTH MENTAL HEALTH AND SOCIAL WORK SERVICES WE ALSO HAVE A SCHOOL SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM SMALL BUSINESS LOAN PROGRAM COMMUNITY ADVOCACY PROGRAM AND A FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR FAMILIES IN NEED. 99 FAMILIES WERE SUPPORTED DURING 2021.
