SUSTAINABLE VILLAGES HONDURAS DONATES FUNDS RAISED IN THE UNITED STATES TO VECINOS HONDURAS, A HONDURAN NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION, TO SUPPORT ITS PROGRAM IN SANTA BARBARA, A DEPARTMENT IN CENTRAL HONDURAS. THIS PROGRAM TRAINS SMALL FARMING FAMILIES IN SUSTAINABLE ORGANIC FARMING TECHNIQUES, INCLUDING PLANTING CERTAIN CROPS SO THAT THEY CAN GROW IN THE DROUGHT CORRIDOR, HEALTH AND SANITATION METHODS, YOUTH AND WOMEN EMPOWERMENT, SMALL ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT, AND WATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS.
