GROWING TO GIVE IS A GROW-FOR-DONATION NONPROFIT ORGANIC FARM. WE GREW OVER 16,000 POUNDS OF FOOD AND DONATED IT TO OVER 30 FOOD ACCESS SITES ACROSS THREE COUNTIES IN MAINE. WE WELCOMED HUNDREDS OF SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN ON THE FARM FOR HANDS ON VOLUNTEERING/EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TOTALING OVER 1500 STUDENT CONTACT HOURS. WE ALSO ENGAGED WITH ANOTHER 200+ FIELD VOLUNTEERS THROUGHOUT THE SEASON TOTALING APPROXIMATELY ANOTHER 2000 HOURS OF FIELD VOLUNTEERING. WE PILOTED A FARM SKILLS TRAINING PROGRAM IN COLLABORATION WITH FIVE OTHER NONPROFITS, HOSTED THREE PUBLIC EVENTS ON THE FARM, HOSTED AND SUPERVISED THREE COLLEGE INTERNS FOR THE SUMMER AND LAUNCHED A THREE YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN.
