TAKE NOTE COLORADO (TNC) CONTINUED TO FULFILL ITS MISSION OF HELPING TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS AND INSTRUCTION ACROSS THE STATE OF COLORADO, ESPECIALLY FOCUSED ON YOUTH (GRADES K-12) WHO LACK ACCESS. WESLEY SCHULTZ FROM THE LUMINEERS CONTINUED TO SERVE AS THE MUSIC AMBASSADOR AND BOARD CO-CHAIR. MONTHLY OPERATING EXPENSES WERE KEPT AT A MINIMUM TO ASSURE THE ORGANIZATION REMAINED FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE. HOWEVER, THANKS TO PRE-COVID FUNDRAISING SUCCESS, THE RESPONSIVE GRANT PROGRAM CONTINUED, IMPLEMENTING TWO GRANT ROUNDS IN THIS FISCAL YEAR, SUPPORTING 20 ORGANIZATIONS WITH INDIVIDUAL GRANTS UP TO 10,000. A NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH COLORADO BOYS & GIRLS CLUB WAS DEVELOPED TO SUPPORT MUSIC PROGRAMS AT THREE CLUBS (BLACK CANYON, SOUTHERN UTE TRIBE, SAN LUIS VALLEY), AND THE PARTNERSHIP WITH ARTS & VENUES' DENVER MUSIC ADVANCEMENT FUND CONTINUED WITH AN ANNUAL 25,000 INVESTMENT TO SUPPORT GRANTS FOR ORGANIZATIONS BASED IN THE CITY & COUNTY OF DENVER. THE BOARD ALSO BEGAN PLANNING FOR THE RETURN OF ITS ANNUAL FUNDRAISER - SING IT TO ME SANTA IN DECEMBER 2022.
