OUR MISSION IS TO PROMOTE LITERACY, CONSERVATION OF WILDLIFE AND WILD PLACES, THE MOVEMENT ARTS, AND TO OPEN DOORS OF OPPORTUNITY FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. IN LIGHT OF THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC, MERIAMA FUND HAS ADDED A FOCUS AREA FOR CRISIS RELIEF AND SUPPORT.

WE HAVE A VISION THAT WILL EVOLVE AS MERIAMA FUND GROWS, AND THAT IS TO HELP WOMEN AND GIRLS FIND THEIR WINGS. OUR FIRST EMPHASIS HERE WILL BE ON FINANCIAL LITERACY AS A POWERFUL TOOL FOR SELF-DETERMINATION AND EMPOWERMENT.WE SUPPORT PUBLIC LIBRARIES, THOSE INVALUABLE SOURCES OF FREEDOM AND DEEP KNOWLEDGE. WE ALSO SUPPORT INNOVATIVE WAYS TO TEACH AND ENCOURAGE THE KIND OF CREATIVE, COMPELLING WRITING THAT CAN GIVE WINGS TO FEELINGS AND NEW IDEAS.FROM OUR OWN COMMUNITIES TO THE HIMALAYA, WE SUPPORT PROTECTING WILD PLACES AND THE CREATURES THAT INHABIT THEM. WILD PLACES NOURISH THE SOUL, AND WILD CREATURES REMIND US THAT WE ARE ALL INTERCONNECTED AND HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO BE GOOD STEWARDS
