PUR SERVICE IS THE PART OF OUR ORGANIZATION THAT IS FOCUSED ON HELPING ORPHANS AND WIDOWED FAMILIES IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES. CURRENTLY THE FOCUS OF PUR SERVICE IS IN THE AFRICAN COUNTRY OF UGANDA, COSTA RICA AND HAITI. WE ARE WORKING TO SUPPORT THE WORK OF SEVERAL DIFFERENT TRUSTED ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN UGANDA THAT ARE WELL ESTABLISHED AND HAVE ALREADY PRODUCED POSITIVE RESULTS. WE ARE ALSO CURRENTLY WORKING ON PROJECTS AND MISSIONS OUTREACH IN HAITI AND COSTA RICA.SPECIFICALLY, PUR INTERNATIONAL SET UP AN OFFICE IN MUKONO, UGANDA. PROVIDED SERVICE PROJECTS TO 300 ORPHANS THERE BY STARTING A COMMUNITY GARDEN AND STARTED PLANNING FOR A CHICKEN COUP THAT HOLDS 2000 CHICKENS TO PROVIDE AN EGG A DAY TO THE SAME GROUP OF KIDS. BUILT 3 PIT LATRINES FOR 15 SINGLE MOTHERS/15 CHILDREN. PROVIDED PERSONAL HYGIENE EDUCATION WEEKLY TO 5000 PEOPLE.WE DEVELOPED A MEAT PROCESSING PLANT FOR HAITIANS TO BUY MEAT, HAVE ACCESS TO CLEAN PRODUCTS AND HAVE A PLATFORM TO SELL THEIR PRODUCTS. THIS HAS PROVIDED OPPORTUNITY FOR TRAINING, BUSINESS AND LIFE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT IN AN IMPOVERISHED GROUP OF PEOPLE. WE ADDED PROGRAMMING IN COSTA RICA FOR AT RISK YOUTH. WE HAVE RECREATIONAL PROJECTS, SERVICE PROJECTS AND TRAINING FOR OVER 100 YOUTH.
PUR COMPASSION IS THE PART OF OUR ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES CORE SERVICES AND SUPPORT TO STABILIZE AND TRANSITION WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN THE UNITED STATES WHO SUDDENLY FIND THEMSELVES WITHOUT A HUSBAND AND FATHER. WE OFFER FINANCIAL SUPPORT, COUNSELING, AND CONSULTING AND ADVISORY TO THOSE IN NEED. SPECIFICALLY, PUR INTERNATIONAL PROVIDED FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR MULTIPLE WOMEN WHO LOST THEIR HUSBANDS DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES. EACH OF THEM ARE NOW SINGLE MOTHERS.
