THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIELD TRAINING OFFICERS (NAFTO) THROUGH ITS MEMBER MANAGEMENT SERVICES HAS COORDINATED TRAINING IN ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THE TRAINING CONSISTS OF OUR BASIC FIELD TRAINING SCHOOL WHICH TRAINS EXPERIENCED OFFICERS HOW TO TRAIN NEW OFFICERS ENTERING LAW ENFORCEMENT FROM ACADEMY TRAINING. THE BASIC CORRECTIONS FIELD TRAINING SCHOOL TRAINS EXPERIENCED DETENTION OFFICERS HOW TO TRAIN NEW DETENTION OFFICERS ENTERING THE CORRECTIONS FIELD FROM ACADEMY TRAINING, FIELD TRAINING MANAGEMENT CLASSES PROVIDE SUPERVISORS THE UNDERSTANDING OF HOW TO RUN A FIELD TRAINING PROGRAM. THIS TRAINING IS DONE THROUGH ATTENDANCE BY MEMBERS AT OUR STATE AND NATIONAL CONFERENCES. THROUGH THESE CONFERENCES NAFTO PROVIDES CURRENT TRENDS AND BASIC SKILLS FOR FIELD TRAINERS IN LAW ENFORCEMENT, CORRECTIONS, DISPATCH AND EMT TRAINING. OUR TOTAL MEMBERSHIP DURING THE PERIOD COVERED BY THIS RETURN WAS 1762 MEMBERS.
