MILLINOCKET MEMORIAL LIBRARY'S MISSION IS TO ENRICH LIVES BY BUILDING COMMUNITY, INSPIRING IMAGINATION, AND EMPOWERING INDIVIDUALS THROUGH LIFELONG LEARNING.

THE LIBRARY'S COLLECTION OF BOOKS AND MATERIALS PROVIDES RESOURCES TO RESIDENTS AND PATRONS. ITEMS IN OUR COLLECTION OF OVER 20,000 BOOKS AND DVDS WERE CHECKED OUT OVER 13,000 TIMES. THROUGH THE THRIVE PENOBSCOT NETWORK, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED NEW PROGRAMS ADDRESSING VARIOUS NEEDS IN THE REGION WITH THE GOAL TO KEEP FOLKS WELL AND LIVING AT HOME AS LONG AS POSSIBLE BY CONNECTING THEM WITH RESOURCES IN THE COMMUNITY. THE ORGANIZATION LAUNCHED THE KATAHDIN STORY BOOTH PROJECT. THE PROJECT IS A LIVING HISTORY PROJECT COMMITTED TO HONORING OUR REGION'S PAST AS WE PREPARE FOR THE FUTURE.
