PUBLIC EDUCATION, RESEARCH & TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE - PROVIDED ORGANIZING, EDUCATIONAL AND RESEARCH SUPPORT TO GRASSROOTS CAMPAIGNS FOR SOCIAL CHANGE. MPRC PRODUCED PUBLIC OPINION RESEARCH ON A HOST OF ISSUES AND CAMPAIGNS, EXECUTED A BROAD PUBLIC EDUCATION CAMPAIGN ABOUT THE NEED TO INCREASE PAID SICK DAYS, INCREASE VACCINE EDUCATION, PROVIDED ORGANIZING SUPPORT AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT FOR THOUSANDS OF VOLUNTEER ACTIVISTS AND HELPED STAFF SEVERAL STATE COALITIONS.
PROGRESSIVE COALITION SERVICES - AS PART OF ITS OVERALL EDUCATION AND RESEARCH MISSION, MPRC WAS A MEMBER AND FISCAL SPONSOR FOR DIVERSE INDEPENDENT COALITIONS. MPRC COLLECTS FUNDS AND MAKES OUTLAYS FOR THESE COALITIONS, MONITORS AND IS DIRECTLY INVOLVED IN THEIR ACTIVITIES, AND IS EITHER IN CLOSE CONTACT WITH OR HAS REPRESENTATION ON THEIR GOVERNING COMMITTEES. DURING 2021, MPRC WORKED WITH A COALITION OF ALLIES WORKING TOGETHER ON A TABLE ON CLIMATE CHANGE ISSUES, AND A STATE-BASED CIVIC ENGAGEMENT TABLE, ESTABLISHING COLLECTION ACTION AROUND A COMMON AGENDA.
